In view of the exceptional circumstances, Mr Vincent Ngundi and Mr Darwin Da Costa, the outgoing PDWG's Co-Chairs, have graciously agreed to continue overseeing and coordinating the upcoming PPM, including the moderation of the RPD mailing list, until the selection of new Co-Chairs in line with established procedures. This meeting emphasises rebuilding trust, improving participation, and addressing policy gaps within AFRINIC's resource management framework.
The programme is designed to foster open engagement and constructive exchanges. Highlights include an opening address by the AFRINIC Board Chair, a series of focused presentations on the PDP, and open-mic segments led by the PDWG Chairs, inviting community input on the AFRINIC's Policy Manual. A PIER presentation will provide operational feedback on policy implementation.
As the meeting concludes with reflections on building a more inclusive and collaborative community, AFRINIC-36 underscores the organisation's dedication to revitalising meaningful engagement and strengthening bottom-up policymaking for a more resilient Internet ecosystem in Africa.
